African Modernism

African Modernism

"This book has emerged from researchers at ETH Zurich, one of Europe’s leading architecture schools, and it shows how lively engagement by academic institutions with interesting questions can produce first-rate results. Very far from being a dusty tome, this large and generous book combines its photographic surveys and detailed case studies with useful historical summaries and charts, and essays by experts on specific themes."

Timothy Brittain-Catlin, World of Interiors

Communicating Architecture is an ongoing joint undertaking of publishers Park Books (Zurich) and JOVIS (Berlin). Today, books are more often chosen for the topics they cover than for the name of the publisher behind them. We decided to pick up on this trend by presenting our books at a joint stand at last year’s book fair in Frankfurt in combination with a program of architecture- and urbanism-related events. Having been well received at the fair, our cooperation continues in the form of different events and initiatives revolving around the topics of architecture and architecture books.

Park Books is being supported with a general subsidy.
